Tower Fold and New Products

Today's card is another fun fold that I tried for the first time. I found this idea on SplitCoastStampers as a tutorial from Mary Deatherage. In fact, I'll link to her tuturial here: https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/towerfold/

I chose to use a few new items (and new colors!) that will be available on May 4, 2021 when the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog goes live. The stamp set I am using is called Color and Contour and has a loose sketchy vibe to it that I love. There is a matching set of dies with wonderful scalloped rectangles that I think you'll love too. (I need new favorite dies to replace my beloved Stitched Shapes dies that are retiring on 5/3/21). I think these will fill that need.

The colors I am using here are two of the five new In Colors for 2021-2023. These two are called Fresh Freesia and Soft Succulent.

I filmed a video as I made this fun fold, so you can follow along and give it a try.

Here are a couple more photos so you can see the back, where you can place your personal message:

And on these two photos below you can see how it stands up, and what the 'tower' base looks like from the top. That should help you when you recreate this card.

All the dimensions are listed in the tutorial which I linked above, and also on my youtube description. For the squares on the front I used my favorite dies (that are sadly retiring next week) the Stitched Shapes Dies. If you don't yet have this great set of dies, hurry to my online store before they retire.

For coloring I used two sets of new 2021-2023 In Color StampinBlends - Fresh Freesia and Soft Succulent, to match my papers. The images are stamped in Tuxedo Black.

I sure hope you will give this fun fold a try, and let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Products used are listed & linked below, but keep in mind that at the time of my posting this they are not yet available to order (one of the many perks of being a demonstrator is we get to order new items early). So, the links will need to be updated after May 4th.
