Our monthly card challenge for February 2022 is to make a slim line card. This trend started a couple of years ago, at least that is when I became aware of it, but this was my first time trying one. I, of course, had to use the Slim Line Sayings Bundle from StampinUp!
Slimline cards are usually 8 1/2" by 3 1/2 inches. For my card base I chose to use Bermuda Bay Cardstock and a selection of accent colors including Coastal Cabana, Blackberry Bliss & Granny Apple Green from a retired pack of "Oh So Ombre" Designer Series Papers.
Those wonderful chevron pieces are thanks to the Slim Card Dies. My sentiment is from the Slim Sayings Stamp Set - both of these can be purchased together as a bundle to save 10%. (Slim Sayings Bundle is on page 52 of the Jan-June 2022 Mini Catalog). The beautiful feather stamp is from the Tasteful Touches stamp set.
I love that feather, so I had to put a few more on the inside. I made two version of this card, very similar but the chevrons are facing different directions. Added a little glitter paper under my banner and a few sequins and I think it's a fun card.
I have cards from two friends to share too - it was Donna's idea to make slim line cards this month so I'll show you hers first. She used the elegant Bamboo Beauty stamp set (page 49 of the Annual Catalog)
I'd also like to share Kathleen's cute easter card - she used the adorable Easter Friends stamp set found on page 27 of the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog. I love how the ducks are 'holding hands'. So cute.
