Peony Garden DSP Card

Updated: Nov 12, 2020

I knew when the Designer Series Paper was going on sale that this would be a great technique to show off all the beautiful designs in the Peony Garden Papers. Remember the Sale ends on October 31st, 2020 so you still have this last week to stock up on your favorite Designer Series Papers. See my previous post for details on which beautiful papers are on sale.

For this card I used the Tailored Tag Punch and ALL of the designs in the Peony Garden DSP. It's a great card layout when you love all the choices - because StampinUp papers are always perfectly coordinated to go together.

The card base here is Smokey Slate (the one gray that is not in the DSP!) Once I punched out all my tags, I adhered them all to a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, leaving an even but very small border around all the tags.

That crazy fun bow is the Metallic Mesh Ribbon (page 53 of the Aug-Dec 2020 Mini Catalog) and I just LOVE how sparkly it is. My sentiment, from the Prized Peony Stamp Set, is stamped in Basic Gray Ink on a Whisper White Tag that I trimmed down just a hair on all 6 sides. The flower is stamped with Petal Pink Ink and then I rubbed the edges in my Petal Pink Ink Pad to give it a bit of definition, before mounting it on my card with Stampin Dimensionals.

The last little touch was to add a few Elegant Faceted Gems (part of the Peony Garden Suite, page 82 of the Annual Catalog). I'm really happy with how this turned out. I used the same stamp set to stamp the inside of my card.

I hope you will give this technique a try - see what other punches or dies you have on hand to make a similar card. And pick up your DSP before the sale ends!

I've added a VIDEO on my YouTube Channel for this card using other papers.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
