When I need a little creative boost, I love to turn to a sketch, and I find my favorites on the Splitcoast Stampers website. This card is based on Sketch #SC895 and it looks like this:
I chose to use some retired paper called Dandy Garden, that coordinated with the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set and Dragonflies Punch. The stamp set and punch are sold as a bundle for 10% off when purchased together - but only until this catalog retires 5/2/22. The products will still be available but not at a discount.
I made a few versions of the card, all very similar but it's fun to see how the different arrangements of the papers look. I just made random angled cuts of my papers with my trusty Paper Trimmer - with no real plan in mind, then laid them out on the Bumblebee Cardstock to see what I liked. I have a layer of Basic White Cardstock under the strips of paper to give a white border between the different designs. A simple image on the inside from the same stamp set.
Of course, we can't send out any naked envelopes, so a simple stamped image from the set stamped in Bumblebee worked nicely and matches the inside of card.
