A Touch of Ink
This beautiful stamp set, A Touch of Ink, is another option from Sale-A-Bration (now through end of Feb). This is a "Two-Step" set which means you can stamp the outline image, then use another stamp to quickly color it in, so easy.
I'm a big fan of the 'sketchy, water-color splash' images of this stamp set, and it has several great phrases to use also - short and sweet but classy.
My ink color choices for this card are: Merry Merlot (I thought I used Blackberry Bliss - but I see Merry Merlot ink pad on my desk! oops), Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron and Basic Grey Ink and my paper is Blackberry Bliss card base, Very Vanilla for my stamping, and a small strip of Oh So Ombre (Sale-A-Bration Paper) behind the oval.
My humming bird is stamped on an oval of Very Vanilla cut using the Stitched Shapes Dies. If you are looking for a multi-purpose die set you can't go wrong with this set. And, as a bonus, these dies will fit in the new Mini Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine! Then just to let my oval stand out a bit, I ran the edges along my So Saffron ink pad to give it some definition.
Keep in mind, Sale-A-Bration runs through February 28th and then these FREE items will leave us. You can pick an item from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure for each $50 order you place - while supplies last. I know the Ombre Paper was on backorder last I checked.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
